JIRNSUM ~ Since 1964, the family-owned company The Boarnstream has grown into one of the largest Dutch water sport companies. It makes steel-hulled Boarncruiser motor yachts, from 10 to 30m and in 4 different models. Two new additions on display at the Amsterdam HISWA in-Water show were the Boarncruider 1200 (12.16m) and 1300 (13.30m) Elegance. (Photo).

Both are top-flight, attractive designs, with a spacious interior dominated by a very roomy lounge. The yard says it strived to craft “a Mediterranean beauty with a refined mix of colors and materials combined with the functional, down-to-earth character of the North European.”

2015 has so far been a good year for the Boarnstream yard. In May, the company was awarded a Green Pennant! Only Blue Flag certified marinas qualify for the extra award. The Green Pennant recognizes a sustainable and socially responsible enterprise. Only 14 marines in the Netherlands have been awarded a green pennant.
