Zeeman Jachtbouw now VMG Yachtbuilders
ENKHUIZEN _ Looking to broaden its market reach, Zeeman Jactbouw has become VMG Yachtbuilders. The Dutch yard says it will continue to build its classically lined Zeeman sailing yachts designed by Arjen Keer.
But it will also built the Puffin Yachts (below) of designer Olivier van Meer that are available in lenghts of up to 65 feet. Puffin Yachts have long held much appeal for aficionados of genuine classic yachts. The brand combines seaworthiness with substantial deck saloons, spacious, below-deck areas and high-quality interior wood finishing.
VMG Yachtbuilders says it will cater to adventurous sailors, keen on exploring faraway locales. The brand first present itself to the public at the 2015 Boot Düsseldorf show. VMG Yacht builders wants to build several brands which led it to assume a name bound to resonate better outside of the Netherlands.
It has also taken on additianal marketing and sales talent. The yard says that all of its projects are realized entirely by and under the direction of VMG Yachtbuilders and says that “VMG Yachtbuilders always maintains control over the quality and the planning.
Zeeman Yachts are aluminum semi-custom offshore cruisers (At right, the Zeeman 52). VMG Yachtbuilders will handle anything from the construction of new ships to refits of classic keel yachts, from the laying of teak decks to the restoration of old boats.
