Rondal rigs world’s largest carbon sloop

VOLLENHOVE ~ Rondal BV, makers of high-tech super sailing yacht rigs, has won an order to rig the Baltic 175 Pink Gin VI. Rondal, part of Royal Huisman shipyard, will build a 68m carbon fiber mast and a high-performance furling boom.

The order from the Finnish Baltic Yachts yard confirms Rondal’s leadership in rigging super sailing yachts worldwide. In addition to the Baltic order, Rondal now has 8 superyacht rigs on order. It has just finished work on the rig of a 58m sloop and a 56m ketch.

The Baltic rigging package will feature Rondal’s battencar system and internal D tangs. The furling boom will feature Rondal’s proven outhaul system. The rig will be supported by a state of the art solid carbon standing rigging from Carbo Link. Delivery is planned for the early days of 2017. The 53m Baltic Pink Gin VI is due for launch is in 2017. It will boast 7 well-appointed cabins and 4 crew cabins.
