January 30, 2014 by robert in Featured, Power, Sail with 0 Comments

DUESSELDORF, Germany _ Boat Duesseldorf, the world’s biggest indoor boat and water sports trade show, closed its doors Jan. 26 saying it recorded 248,600 visitors over 9 days. That is 22,000 more than in 2013.

That spectacular increase has raised spirits that Europe is finally emerging from years of economic stagnation. Jürgen Tracht, head of the German water sports federation says the 2014 Boat Duesseldorf  “gave a much hoped-for boost” to the international yachting industry. “The mood…was very good from the start.  There was a clear rise in visitors wanting to make purchases.”

Spilling across 17 vast exhibition halls, Boat Duesseldorf offers an unrivaled array of marine products and services. In 2014, it attracted 1,661 exhibitors from 60 countries and 48,000 foreign visitors from 65 countries.
