MUIDEN ~ The Sea Level design studio says it never tires of experimenting. “We believe that the design of a yacht and the identity of the yard should reflect and reinforce each other,” says the company. “This is the only way to stand out among the competition.”

Over the last 15 years, Sea Level has handled the design, naval architecture and engineering for more than 50 yachts _ ranging from 15 to 100 meters. Because its appetite for new inspiration, talent and fresh ideas is huge, the studio has joined forces with Heesen Yachts and Superyacht Times to stage a design competition for students. The response: 26 students from all over the world submitted their designs for a “new profile and sundeck for a 50m motor yacht.” Seewww.yachtdesigntalent.com or http://bit.ly/1Io1g2i.

The winner will be announced at the Monaco Yacht Show on Sept. 26. A jury _ formed by Heesen Yachts, Superyacht Times, Haute Future Fashion Academy, Bannenberg & Rowell design and Sea Level yacht design & engineering _ will judge the entries.
