Dutch mega-yacht builders have 66 orders

ROTTERDAM – Dutch super-yacht builders had a good year in 2013. They delivered 23 new mega-yachts _ 5 more than in 2012, according to figures released in May by Dutch Maritime Technology, an alliance of Dutch shipbuilders and their suppliers.

Dutch super-yacht builders began 2014 with orders for a total of 66 mega-yachts  _ 7 more than at the outset of 2013.

The value of their combined order books is €2.7 billion, up more than 20% in one year. The value of the super-yachts built in the Netherlands in 2013 alone reached €807 million, up from  €657 million in 2012.
