Are you a VOR newshound?

The Volvo Ocean Race has received a tidal wave of applications from people who want to be onboard  reporters in the 2014-15 race. Project manager Rick Deppe: “We’re looking for storytellers who can show us what the sailors are thinking, feeling and doing. We’ve had around 1,500 applications already. We are still getting applications.”

Deppe, an onboard reporter in the 2008-9 race, says the VOR wants people who can record “the power and the raw energy of the Volvo Ocean Race to take fans inside the Volvo Ocean Race and give them a real insight into what crews are thinking, feeling, doing.” If you are that person, pack an umbrella!
