LEIDEN _ Guido de Groot Design has unveiled the design of a 45m yacht for which it received an order. The tri-deck motor yacht will offer accommodations for up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms and a crew of up to 8.

The Guido de Groot Design studio was formed in 1997. It specializes in yacht interiors and exteriors for luxury motor and sailing yachts. It employs half a dozen designers and architects to service an international clientele and work with yards in Italy, Russia, The Netherlands, Taiwan and Turkey.

Heading the studio is Guido de Groot (2nd from left in photo) who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. and worked for more than six years as a car designer in Paris for the French car manufacturer Citroën.

The layout of the studio’s design for the 45m motor yacht features several entertainment zones on the main deck including a large deck salon aft and a forward dining room. The galley lies amidships, adjacent to lounge area with a bar and a games table. The bridge deck houses a large family lounge as well as an additional stateroom, office and children’s cabin. The upper aft deck features generous outdoor space for sunbathing with multiple loungers.
