Whisper Power uncomplicates matters
DRACHTEN _ At the 2014 METS show, WhisperPower devoted half of its exhibitor space to the launch of a global marketing campaign for its new All-In-One PowerStation, part of a “new school” of the company’s power systems and integrated power systems solutions.
‘In recent years we have seen a shift away from dealers and regional representatives to international distributors, wholesalers and yards,” says WhisperPower owner Roel ter Heide. In late November, his company announced it established a company in New Zealand, WhisperPower Pacific Ltd., together with businessman John McGettigan to develop Pacific Rim markets where the company sees strong demand for its products.
After the METS show, Ter Heide said the market sees his company as being “on the right track” in developing new products that simplify matters for end users, boat yards and installers. “Hence our slogan ‘Simplifying Complexity’,” says Ter Heide. In recent years, WhisperPower has significantly expanded its product range. It now offers stand-alone products but also plug-and-play systems.
The company says its PowerStation responds to the demand for more complete systems that are easy to install and maintain. The All-_in-One PowerStation has everything in one single quiet and reliable compact system with minimal vibration. It contains a premium hybrid diesel generator equipped with a high efficiency permanent magnet alternator. This generator works together with the sine wave inverter, the battery charger or Combi connected to the long-life onboard batteries. Start and bow thruster batteries are also charged via the PowerStation. With a universal connector, All-in-One PowerStations can be plugged in to any country’s power connection worldwide (90-260VAC, 50 or 60Hz).
